​Things are about as tough as ever…

Revenues from my old niche sites are down over 50% from this time last year.

For me, 2026 is really the crunch - if things don’t turn around, I’ll have to figure something else out.

I’ll probably sign up to be an online tutor of some sort.

But I won’t give up on online biz.

Even if I got a job, I’d still grind through the night to find an online solution.

I’m hooked on the dream - independence, freedom, not having to worry about money …

But some projects just don’t fit me…

I’ve got a buddy who’s been really excited about Facebook ad arb & YouTube AI Slop.

There’s something about it that gives me the ick.

I gave up on the Slop stuff, even though it brings in a little money.

It really solidified in my mind that I don’t just want to do anything for money.

I actually want to do something that gives me pride and purpose.

My ikigai project…

Ikigai is something that is:

"...a motivating force; something or someone that gives a person a sense of purpose or a reason for living."

It comes from the crossover of the following:

• What you love
• What the world needs
• What you are good at
• What you can be paid for

The YouTube project I’ve been talking about for the past few months gives me that pride and purpose.

It’s my ikigai.

That’s why I’ve been able to grind through despite the minimal positive reinforcement.

(I think hope pray 99% of my sales will come in April/May during “high season”.)

Just some small updates on this project…

• My main YT channel for this project got rejected by YouTube Adsense for “duplicate content” (I make clips from the long videos and repost them - YT didn’t like that). I don’t care all that much, this is about digital products, not Adsense.

• I think I made about $250-300 last month from this project in digital product sales.

• It’s been 2 months since I launched the second “course” offering. I decided to put it on a new YouTube channel. I think it was a mistake because things are quiet.

This is what the 2nd, newer course’s stats look like right now:

• Got 1,100 views in 2 months
• Collected 11 free emails (1% opt-in rate)
• One sale ($59)
• RPM: $54

I keep promising you guys that April is going to see a huge surge in sales. God, I hope that's true !!!
